how it started 

At first, it was just casual conversations with friends. When someone dropped by the office, I would pull out my iPhone and record a bit of banter. From those first, informal interactions with local marketing professionals, authors, and entrepreneurs, More than a Few Words, a marketing podcast was born.

Over the last thirteen years, I’ve experimented with many formats, hosted hundreds of conversations with business owners, marketing celebrities and experienced practitioners. There were lots of laughs and good information along the way. Today, the brief conversations are heard by business owners and marketing professionals looking for both practical tips and a little bit of inspiration.

about the book

This book is an extension of those conversations with some of my favorites guests from around the globe, sharing their expertise in a new format.  I hope you enjoy reading this essay collection as much as I enjoyed assembling it.  The book is divided into three sections; sales tips, content marketing and strategies for business owners.  The articles, like the podcast episodes are designed to be consumed in any order.  Read them one at a time or binge several at once.
