We have been talking to quite a few business owners lately who are excited about starting their new business. Unfortunately, it seems as if they haven’t done their homework. There doesn’t seem to be a plan other than opening and selling. To us, that seems like a recipe for failure.
Highlights:
- Evaluate possible revenue streams and costs for each product or service your are considering.
- Don’t expect customers will simply find you when you open your door. Even if you are in a great location, you need to build interest or people won’t stop in.
- If you aren’t ready, wait! Delaying the launch six months will be painful, but if you plan to be in business for years to come what is six months?
